| We wanted to share with
you the exciting news about the Veteran’s Memorial Park we are erecting in
Harvard. This will be located on the lot south of the bank. There will be a granite stone 6 feet tall with a granite base in the middle of the park. The brick walls with Veteran’s names will be placed on each side of the granite stone. The size of the brick walls will depend on the number of veteran bricks sold. Estimated cost for this project is $20,000 to $25,000. We are now taking donations & will be having fund raisers to cover the cost of the stone, erecting the brick walls, underground sprinklers, sidewalks, landscaping, benches, a & maintenance of the park. The veteran’s bricks are not limited to just the Harvard area. You may honor a Veteran from anywhere in the nation that has served for the USA. The brick orders are coming in and plans are moving forward. We would appreciate an early reply so we can get things ordered. Would you please consider purchasing a brick and/or making a donation to help cover the costs of making the Memorial Park possible? We are very excited to be able to honor our veterans in this well deserved manner. It is our hope that we will get enough funds collected & bricks sold to have the park ready for dedication on Sunday, August 20, 2006. All persons ordering bricks or making donations will be sent information regarding the dedication service. Thank you for your support. We appreciate the efforts of all our donors, and the Veterans who have served and sacrificed so that we may enjoy the benefits of life in a free society in the United States of America. |
